Azy

March 19, 2012 By Ann

Azy (2011,  58×42)

Azy is an orangutan…….the large balls of orange in the primate world.   Adult male orangutans are several times larger than females, sport long hair, and have broad fat pads on the sides of their faces that add distinctive character when they reach maturity.  The challenge was to create enough contrast in Azy’s hair to show off his dreadlocks and handsome beard.  Azy currently resides at the Indianapolis Zoo.     [SOLD]
